🏠 HOUSE LAYOUT
Guests can enter the building from the back parking pad, heading up to this second-floor apartment through a central stairwell. Once inside, everything is on one level. A short hallway with a closet opens into a bright, open kitchen and living room, filled with natural light and cozy, artsy touches throughout.
The kitchen flows directly into the living room, with seating at the island plus a dedicated desk that doubles as extra workspace or dining. The living room's sofa pulls out to provide extra leg room for movie nights.
The bedroom sits just off the living area and features a king bed and closet. The full bathroom, with a separate toilet room and shower, is towards the back of the apartment and also houses the in-unit washer and dryer.
Off the back of the apartment, a large private deck offers seating for relaxing, plus a separate table for two - a great spot for morning coffee or evening drinks.
Guests will have access to everything inside the apartment with the exception of a locked housekeeping closet.

This home is set in Lower Lawrenceville, right on Penn Ave, in the heart of one of Pittsburgh's most walkable and artsy neighborhoods. It's an easy stroll of about five minutes to Butler Street and Bloomfield, where you'll find a mix of restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, and shops that give Lawrenceville its creative, laid-back character. With the Strip District, downtown, and Shadyside all just minutes away, this location offers the best of both worlds: a walkable, artsy neighborhood feel with easy access to the rest of the city.
Getting around is easy from our place. You’ll have free off-street parking for two vehicles directly behind the building—a rare perk in Lawrenceville—plus an easy walk to Butler Street’s restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and boutiques.
If you’re not familiar with Pittsburgh, we don’t recommend doing a lot of driving. The city is notoriously tricky to navigate thanks to its hills, rivers, bridges, and unexpected turns. Uber and Lyft are usually the easiest options, and several nearby bus lines make getting around simple. Buses along Penn Ave provide access toward Downtown and Oakland, with additional service along Butler Street.
Pittsburgh is also very bikeable, with plenty of bike lanes and POGOH bike-share stations throughout the city—just be prepared for the hills! Walking is another great option for exploring Lawrenceville and nearby Bloomfield.

Our apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a building. It does require a flight of steps. Once you are inside, the entire apartment is one level.
We winterize our outdoor spaces starting in October and start opening them back up around April. Feel free to ask us if you're planning on using the outdoor space — we can let you know if Pittsburgh weather is cooperating!
